CHICHESTER CITY CHANGE NAME, BADGE AND WEBSITE

Chichester have announced that they will be changing their team name back to Chichester City Football Club from the start of the coming season as opposed to Chichester City United Football Club which has been used since the merger with Portfield in 2000.

The club was originally founded in 1873 as Chichester FC and added "City" to it's name in 1948 - now that the club has established itself back at Oaklands Park, it seemed fitting to return to the original name.

The club is also launching a new badge this season (pictured right) which features the club initials in the form of a cathedral and a new enhanced website will also be launched in the next few weeks.

The new website address will be www.chichestercityfc.com
