SCFL DISAPPOINTED WITH OUTCOME OF FA HEARING

In response to the FA hearing at Soho Square, the SCFL sent the following E-Mail to the Chichester Observer, "The Sussex County Football League is very disappointed at the outcome. Although Chichester City were deemed guilty of multiple offences of playing an ineligible player by the Sussex County FA (which they did not appeal) and the action taken by the County League was as per the Standard League Rules, The FA panel were sympathetic to the case put forward by the Chichester City Chairman and exercised some considerable leniency. This does not mean that Chichester have "got off". The fine of £550 and 19 points deduction for this last season still stands. The League may issue a further statement later when the ruling is received from the FA. This is not expected for a couple of weeks."
