TEMPLE SCORES
FOUR AS CHI THRASH LOCAL RIVALS
James temple's four goal blitz ensured
Chichester City did the league double over Pagham and kept up
their county league title hopes.
City have
scored nine goals over the two games against the Lions without
reply.
The visitors were in control for most of
the game, barring a period in the first 20 minutes where it
looked as if Pagham were going to get something from the match.
Temple did take
his time scoring though, leaving it until three minutes before
the break to get his first. This was quickly followed by a
second before Pagham trudged off to lick their wounds.
The second half
continued much as the first before Temple struck with his third
with just over an hour gone.
Pagham's
defence had gone AWOL and Chichester strolled into a three
goal-lead.
There were
glimmers of hope for Pagham, with Danny Cowtan testing
Chichester's resolve and substitute Nathan Parke looking lively.
This being a
local derby, bookings were inevitable, with Doug Peach and Lee
Bradshaw seeing yellow.
The final two
gaols came in the final couple of minutes.
Temple again
spotted defensive frailties before James Archer arrowed home a
shot to kill the Lions off.
