13/10/09: Chichester City 4 Pagham 0 (Division One)

LILLYWHITES RECORD EMPHATIC VICTORY OVER PAGHAM

Chichester City continued their march up the table with an emphatic 4-0 home victory against local rivals Pagham on Tuesday night.

The Lillywhites dominated proceedings and could have easily doubled their final tally with two goals being disallowed for offside in the first half and several near misses throughout.

James Temple gave Chichester the lead 5 minutes before the interval when stroking home a Briggs cross and Brockway added a second on 53 minutes when converting a penalty after Archer had been brought down in the area.

Brockway made it a brace when smashing home an Archer cross on 81 minutes and substitute Broadbent completed the rout with the last kick off the game when volleying a Temple cross into the roof of the net.

Chichester City chairman John Hutter commented after the game, “this was another good comprehensive performance and keeps up the pressure on the teams above us.”
