27/12/05: East Preston 1 Chichester City United 0 (League)

CHRISTMAS BLUES FOR CHICHESTER CITY UNITED

Chichester City United dropped to 8th in the league after a 1-0 defeat away to East Preston. Chichester lost their debutant captain, Neil Murfin, after just 5 minutes due to a hamstring injury and things never got any better after that.

East Preston took the lead on 44 minutes when Windsor managed to walk through the Chichester defence and they should have increased their lead numerous times in the second half but for some wayward shooting.

Chichester came closest to an equaliser when Scott Murfin shot wide late on but never looked like getting anything from the game. Chichester travel to Southwick on New Years Eve for a league match (KO 11am).
