Chichester City United started with the same team which beat Hassocks at the weekend but a lack of creativity in front of goal meant that they left the Lashmar empty handed on Tuesday evening.

In a largely uneventful first half, East Preston took the lead after 39 minutes when Sonny Banks scored from close range. Chichester pushed for an equaliser in the second half with Scott Murfin and Lee Paul going close but they never looked like getting back into the game.

Chichester host Ringmer, who have lost both games so far this season, this Saturday at Church Road (KO 3pm).
