Chichester City United returned to
Oaklands Park after an eight year absence with a pre-season
friendly against Combined Counties League outfit Camberley Town
on Saturday.
Work is continuing to complete work on the
stands and changing rooms but the pitch itself was in good shape
despite the wet weather.
City fielded a mixture of familiar faces,
newcomers and triallists and took an early lead before the more
experienced and settled Camberley line up raised their game to
lead 2-1 at half time.
Both sides used a number of substitutes after
the break and the visitors eventually cruised to a 5-1 win.
This Saturday
City entertain another side from the Combined Counties League
when Cove visit for a double header First and Reserve team
fixture at 2pm.
